Our president makes two appearances at the festival this year, his first in this solo recital and the second in our final concert on the 22nd. Paul’s stature grows year on year and tonight’s concert is sure to be one of the highlights of the festival. The superb programme for this concert is the same one he will play at his RFH recital debut in June. Those of you who attended Paul’s complete Beethoven sonata cycle will remember the ‘Waldstein’ as being one of the crowning achievements of that series.
