JUDY CARMICHAEL PIANO
NIK PAYTON CLARINET & SAXOPHONE
Grammy nominated pianist Judy Carmichael is one of the worlds leading interpreters of stride piano and swing. Count Basie nicknamed her Stride, acknowledging the command with which she plays this technically and physically demanding jazz piano style and said of her: If anyone can keep this music going after I'm gone, it's Judy Carmichael.
Judy is joined by the brilliant Nik Payton, a protégé of the great American clarinetist Bob Wilber. Nik is widely considered one of the leading swing saxophonists in the world.
