Tonight sees another first for the festival as, although we have welcomed many of the world’s greatest pianists here over the last nine years, we have never before had a duet recital. Noriko and Martin have chosen a wonderful programme for us which includes perhaps the greatest work in this repertoire, the Schubert F minor Fantasy, and closes with Stravinsky’s own electrifying arrangement of the Rite of Spring.
