As part of our education programme we are once again organising various workshops in local schools. This is an invaluable way for young people to experience live music making and to receive inspiration and advice from leading practitioners in the profession.
This year they will include:
* A string workshop for the students of the Cotswold School, Bourton on the Water, given by acclaimed cellist Robert Cohen.
* A vocal workshop for Chipping Campden School Canzona choir given by Stile Antico.
* A workshop and performance for the students of St. Catharine's School, Chipping Campden given by one of our lunchtime groups.
We are also planning for members of our academy orchestra to go into Schools to give tuition during their week's residency here.
The orchestra will be rehearing all day on Monday 17th in St. Catharine's School and all day on Thursday 20th in Chipping Campden School, giving the pupils a wonderful insight into how a performance is put together. These rehearsals are not open to the public but we invite members of the public to attend the orchestral rehearsal in Chipping Campden Baptist church on the afternoon of Tuesday 18th and also the rehearsals in the church on Tuesday morning of the 18th, and the afternoons of Wednesday 19th, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd.
Lastly, as always, we are heavily subsidising ticket prices. We are delighted to offer free access to students for all the lunchtime recitals and charge a nominal £1 for tickets for all the evening concerts.
