The festival is seriously committed to music education and, in addition to the above concerts, the formation in 2008 of the ‘Chipping Campden Festival Academy’ orchestra was a natural extension to our education work. This year we hope to get the young players involved in presenting workshops in local schools. In addition we will run an activity day on Sat 13th of February with various sessions for children aged 3 to 13. Please contact Micaela Schmitz, Education Officer. (01386 859 648). Lastly, as always, we are heavily subsidising ticket prices. We are delighted to offer free access to students for all the lunchtime recitals and charge a nominal £1 for tickets for all the evening concerts.
